        unfortunately it’s just research XD
        But I’ll try 🙂

  2. November 21, 2010 at 7:35 PM

I love the shadows it is creating on the background….you could really play with that effect so that the shadow becomes the actual artwork……hmmmm, gets me thinking….

Hello Ms.lee when we are ready from our decisions of oil pastel colours, do we draw the pipes again and colour them in with oil pastels?

    • October 12, 2011 at 7:47 PM

Read the design brief carefully and look at the creative thinking flow chart. It is all a process of logic….once your research has been done, designs thought out, colour schemes and medium tests fixed, you move on to the application on the final piece……follow the chart 🙂

  13. October 17, 2011 at 12:37 PM

    😀

  14. October 18, 2011 at 3:57 PM

Hey Miss, when we finish drawing A3 pipes at home, do we draw the background as well, or do we draw the background at school? 😀

    • October 19, 2011 at 7:32 AM

You may do it if you are ready to but you don’t have to.
Make sure your pipes follow the design brief: shadows, highlights, roundness etc and that you are using complimentary colours.

  15. October 19, 2011 at 1:08 PM

    Ok tnx miss:)

  16. October 21, 2011 at 5:01 PM

Hey miss, we have to draw our kitchen utensils onthe journal or on on our A3 pads?

    • October 21, 2011 at 8:20 PM

Do them on A3 for your display file 🙂

  17. October 24, 2011 at 2:49 PM

I love the way the artist shades the rose it makes it look realistic and it was smart that he didn’t just use a pencil for the outline, it really makes it pop out … 😀 😀 😀 😀 🙂

    • October 25, 2011 at 10:50 AM

That was very interesting. I hope you tried to do one the same?

  18. October 24, 2011 at 5:45 PM

    absolutly amazing and original 😀

    • October 26, 2011 at 7:31 AM

You are right David, That was a very cool video and a lot different to the mess we would end up in if we tried it hehehe. You should give it a go though….go on, challenge yourself…looks pretty straightforward to me….I love the way the table looks at the front…it seems almost real.

      • October 26, 2011 at 7:03 PM

I know!!! the table is absolutly realistic!! and yeah.. the idea to cover the main subject instead of risking the chance of messin it all up !! well…i would challenge myself to do it, but it will probabbly be during the Mid-Term Holidays, because at the moment i got LOADS to do :/

      • October 27, 2011 at 6:33 AM

at least it inspired you to give it a go….and I can’t wait to see what you produce. 😉

hey miss we have to find research on calligraphy right? 😉

    • November 4, 2011 at 6:54 AM

You may start yes but it’s not an official assignment as such for a few days. The others have things to get done before Thursday and I don’t want to overload them. If you have the time it would obviously be beneficial for you to get started on some research though……

  31. November 4, 2011 at 5:05 PM

    Ok tnx miss 🙂

    • November 6, 2011 at 1:19 PM

No Serena, you don’t have to get it. You are just researching and finding out that these things exist. We will look at the styles though……and use them in our next project.

    hey miss 🙂

about the toothpick sculpture, on the journal it says that in the end we need to spray paint the sculpture either red, black or white. I don’t have a spray-painter. do i need to go and buy one or shall i use jovi paint? also, must it be black, white or red all over, or can we use more than one colour?

thanks a lot and i hope you’ll enjoy the rest of the easter hols!

    Juliana

    • April 12, 2012 at 7:56 PM

A Spray painter????? you need to buy a can of spray paint. Usually when a design brief says to complete your work in either black, white or red, it means just that however if you have a burning desire to do it a different colour, go ahead. 🙂

  50. April 17, 2012 at 8:10 PM
